Privacy Policy

Welcome to Chapeljuice.dev ("we," "our," or "us"). This is just a regular blog and I may have some ads on here from time to time to try to see if I can earn enough to pay for the hosting of the site, among other things. I'm not trying to take any of your information. That being said, I think I still need a "Privacy Policy" spelled out for legal reasons, so here it is below:

Your privacy is important to us, and this Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you visit our website.

Information We Collect

  • Personal Information: We do not directly collect personal information unless you voluntarily provide it (e.g., signing up for a newsletter). Please read that again, as it's an important one.
  • Non-Personal Information: We may collect non-personal data such as browser type, device type, and browsing behavior to improve our website and services.
  • Cookies & Tracking Technologies: We might use cookies and similar technologies ONLY to enhance user experience and serve relevant ads. It doesn't tell me any personally identifying information about yourself or hack into your computer to get your bank account or anything like that.

Third-Party Advertising and Cookies

We serve Google Ads through Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies, including:

  • Google's Use of Cookies: Google uses cookies (e.g., the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website and other sites.
  • Personalized Advertising: Google may use your data to provide ads based on your interests. Users can opt out of personalized ads by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • Third-Party Vendors & Ad Networks: Other advertisers may also place cookies and collect information for ad personalization.

How to Manage Cookies

You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings. You can also learn more about opting out of third-party ad networks, by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative or Google's Privacy & Terms.

Data Sharing and Security

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except as required by law. Our website implements security measures to protect your data.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated effective date.
